Cant believe my luck today finally found a set and they are 5x114 http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/wheels-tyres/alloy-wheels/auction-1252556868.htm only 700$ -___________ -

Not really into the looks of the V7 sti wheels on the BC5, they do look good in dark colour BC5s but tried 1 from my mates car and the GTB 17s I have suit it much better. The weight of the spec C wheel is about 5 pounds less than most subaru wheels according to that page (wow) Also going to check out the JDM Blitzen Legacy wheels (think they are deisigned by porche?) again a heavier rim
-
are the ones in the picture 5x100 though? yeah just had a scan on trademe, cant find any

Gotta give you points for that mate! quickest help ever, do you carry around a bag with subaru information covering everything or something? Now I just gotta find a set......... (evowrx possibly know someone in auckland selling a set?)
-
Pretty sure they are a factory Subaru wheel made by BBS Must get these for the RS please tell me they are 5x100

Sound dampening - noisy fuel pumps
THUNDA replied to Batbaruman's topic in General Vehicle Discussion
Fark that would drive me insane! might need to build some sort of box around it ? maybe some sound dampening stuff, havnt heard a pump even close to that loud before -
16 years old, 1989 Nissan Silvia K's - Manual Turbo - this was before drifting was big here - it cost me a 3000 in tidy factory condition didn't tell my parents it was a turbo - crashed it about 4 times over the 6months it was alive for in my ownership hahaha

There is no spoon...... I mean, there is no forester in that PBMS pic brah

Doesn't surprise me tbh - People are only as experienced as their experience, its easy to know things after you've learnt them. Chip companies advertise how their chips are great and can work on any vehicle, not surprising that alot of people buy them Crappy Boost controllers are only like $20 Being bad at something is the first step towards being good at something ^___ ^

Just curious, exactly what bit are you reffering to when you say LEAN ? That car I have now which used to pop/backfiring at high boost? or in the past in other cars ive owned when ive had the boost up on the VF10/VF8? I get worried when anyone mentions lean lol, I already have doubts that even after all ive fixed on my current BC5 theres still that feeling that ive forgotten something / theres something else wrong that i cant quite figure out (pretty much the feeling ive had since owning it hahaha)

Far as I was aware in the RA BC5 the internals were forged from factory, is this incorrect? Ive had a few VF10s running 20psi that didnt blow before the bottom end did also had a few VF8s running 20psi on standard everything with nothing blowing up LOL This was back when BFs/BCs were a dime a dozen I also had the popping and farting problem - had me super stumped fixing lots of stuff that didnt need fixing Curious if you turn your boost up past 12psi does it still pop and fart? My RS saw 25psi on 1 occasion when I had the external wastegate hooked up wrong, and yes it would have been terrible on the engine but it ran flawlessly even at 25psi - no hesistaion or popping / backfiring (I had a chip so boost is no limited for me) When I turn it up past 16psi now it pops and backfires, bloody annoying so I just leave it under that and it goes sweet. still abit concerned there might be something small wrong however Dunno what a W8 runs But ive got a W6 with TD05h and runs tight now I replaced everything on the ignition system Have a HKS downpipe and full stainless exhaust, sounds tits and hauls ass Z4 also good but not as cool as a W6 When you upgrade your turbo do the ECU as well and youll be away no sweat

Ive heard if you tape an iphone to your keys and someone breaks into your house to steal them you can track their location (alot of thieves mistake phones for key rings) :P:P:P
-
Do you need a roll cage for puke? or is it just a helmet? do you need fireproof overalls and S***? fireproof jandals right?

Pressing clutch down DISengages the clutch, which will feel normal whether your clutch is gone or not, when you release the clutch it grips the flywheel, if its not gripping the flywheel when you release the clutch id say your clutch is poked breh just re read your post actually dunno
-
haha true that, would probably be best to hard wire an iphone carger to run on an accesory circuit, even run a wire and tuck it all behind the glove box or somethingso the phone just stays in there forever, always charging when the car is on
-
This idea ! Fully doing this I can imagine the look on the thieves face like "how do they keep finding me" LOL
-
Hey man, seen this car on trademe recently - engine looks wikid! Try parts connection or trademe - or that website people often mention is partsouq.com also, is that front bumper custom? never seen anything like it
-
If someone comes to (where I live) and cuts the chains / gets past the alarm / rewires the fuel pump relay to steal a 25year old car that is average at best then they obviously havnt seen my next door neighbors v7 lololol original post edited however
-
A friend of mine (who owns possibly the fastest RS in nz) Chopped a wire here and there a kapow - full proof If someone breaks in and figures out how to bypass the alarm the car will start but will put out of gas seconds later

The internet lol, but as you can see from this thread there are some people who say yes to bov and others say meh to bov So if you REALLY needed a bov, the replies to this thread would be much different Reason i took it off was to see if my BOV was leaking when i had missfire problems Have only driven the subaru 1 since then with the BOV removed and pipe blocked running 14psi, i ran better with no BOV so assuming my old aftermarket one has worn out Tial one has been ordered so it'll be sweet untill then as for the standard BC5 EJ20G BOV it is a piece of S*** as far as im concerned, little black plastic thing, have had multiple leaking BOV's in past BC5s ive owned even on stock boost
-
Am planning on getting a tune done once ive finished my mods (which im pretty much done with now - just FPR left to do and gonna upgraded to a tial BOV) but was thinking of upgrading to 20g wheel before the tune so when i take it in PBMS can really pull some power out of it. the TD05 16g current in the car is in quite good condition as far as performing well and shaft play goes, it has very little shaft play if any at all So thinking getting my current td05 16g rebuilt and upgraded to 20g with a straight intake like the one evowrx linked me to, then just putting a silicon 90* bend on it woop :E
