We looked at a newer GT legacy too for those asking why talk about holdens and falcons but they have the same economy as the xr6t so why not go the more space power for similar money and economy.

So...its time to say good bye to the Legacy. Its been an awesome car over the last 5 years and we havent had to do one single mechanical thing to it, however, the family grows, and we need some more space. Wife is keen for a Commy or Falcon. Ive limited the choices (woah is me cos I want a HSV) but itll be an SV6 or an XR6T We could go a VE Sv6 or try to find a tidy xr6t. 195kw vs 230kw stock but 5 speed auto vs 4 speed auto unless we find a manual. Peoples thoughts or experiences? I dislike the falcons interiors slightly and their shape but i dislike the sv6s arent that grunty for such a big car and your limited for power upgrades. Im a fence sitter in the holden falcon arguement btw. Trying to compromise space, luggage, grunt (for me) and fuel economy for day to day driving around town.

Purrdy. I just put some spacers in localised areas ie the screw holes for the l arge magnet speakers. Worked fine. Couldnt be bother with the template idea.

Negative. Coated my v5 i/c nicely. Couple light coats and it was good to go. Hardly chipped up at all. Was good. Therell be a pic on here somewhere of it. What brand? I used VHT it was seriously thick even a light coat thats what I was basing my judgement on. Would hate to use it on something like an intercooler. TBH i cant remember! That was years ago. But i do know it was caliper paint in a can

Caliper paint. Black of course.

Def your caliper. Legacy did the same. Drop it out pull the piston sand it up new grease good as gold.

Buy a jasma compliant muffler, remove cats change up pipe, itll become quiet and improve performance.

Im pretty sure thats the same wiring lay out. Easiest way to check would be your multi meter on the tps itself. From my memory those pin layouts are the same.

Boost until strange noises and shuddering occur. Then you definately know theres a problem.

Good luck getting gruntier bulbs. I looked for some a year or so ago and couldnt find any.

not winding you up merely pointing out the fact youve had issues with him to date, the fact he may have caused damage to your gear box is going to be a harder mountain to climb. unless he owns up, which he wouldnt. Haha. If the car drives fine and you pull a code and it was a cold morning chances are itll show the o2 sensor and afm. Its done it in my legacy and my father in laws the past couple of weeks.
