  1. (3) Approved Protective Clothing Standards and Materials: Examples of the following standards labels are detailed in Part Two Article 4 of this Schedule: • FIA: FIA8856-2000 or Norm 1986 Standard • SFI: Spec 3.2(A) or Spec 3.3 • ISO: ISO 6940 • Clothing not manufactured to a Standard; shall be made entirely of a flame resistant material (e.g. Nomex, Aramid, Wool, Cotton, Leather, etc.). Clothing made of flammable material (e.g. nylon or similar synthetics) is not approved.
  2. I have a factory uppipe you can have for nix Al. I haven't taken the heatshields off to inspect it for cracks or leaks. A lot of people are advocating not having a flexi though, so you may want to skip it.
  3. Factory ECU should be a 75. Mine showed roughly 1.1 bar on the VF24 for years, although I never had it dyno'ed.
  4. Seems like a larger uppipe would slow down your exhaust pre turbine?
  5. You could maybe start by draining the oil and seeing if there are bits of bearing in there.
  6. You need a new short block?
  7. Ok, well that's all obviously at the novice club car end of your scale.
  8. Motul PA90 and Gear 300, the TRD version of RBF600 (because it's cheaper). Engine oil is all over the shop; usually in the 10w40 range. But this topic has been done to death hasn't it?
  9. That is retarded reporting. The comment about being a WRX driver is utterly irrelevant and insulting. They may as well have said trouser wearer or cheese sandwich eater. SHAME ON YOU FELLOW SMOOTH NOT CRUNCHY PEANUT BUTTER EATERS WHO OVERESTIMATE THEIR DRIVING ABILITIES!
  10. Which solenoid is it?
  11. I didn't think it would take that much cutting or bending on a single scroll shield; depending whether the shield was already widened at the rear for an aftermarket downpipe. The main issues looked like making a gap for the wastegate actuator and somehow locating the bottom of the long side that goes alongside the power steering lines onto the turbo bracket. Maybe blanket is easiest.
  12. Yes, I mean the turbo. Do you still have your factory heat shield? The top bracket should fit. The wastegate actuator is too far canted over the side (compared to VF24/28/29) to fit the actual shield, but it could be bent around. Not sure how the turbo bracket side mounting lines up; if at all. Trying to decide what to do myself.
  13. Where did you go? I think Tony's in Petone can supply them.
  14. Problem with always running the same tyres on your car is that you have nothing to compare them to. This is just my experience with multiple sets of RE001s and RE050As for daily and Clubsport. YMMV.
  15. Well, there are cheap tyres, and then there are nasty tyres. Zetums are cheap, but they are not nasty. Bridgestones (Potenzas) are great tyres, but they are overpriced and wear quickly. Tyres and cars are mostly only as dangerous as the driver and conditions in my opinion.
  16. As Gotasuby said, people here have done proper motorsport events on Zetums (I have done lots), and if you are having trouble keeping your car going in the right direction using them (especially on public roads) you need to look at your driving; not the tyres. Tyres are not magical.
  17. Yeah, we've been on a couple of decent road/ day trips with three car seats on the back of the coupe. It's usually the Legacy that is suited up for bus service though. The kids like riding in the coupe, and the noise handily puts them to sleep on long stints =] On the subject of car seats; don't get scaremongered out of looking at second hand seats. The touted 'lifespans' of kids seats is ridiculous; mainly for the benefit of people who sell car seats. How long do the seats and belts that come in your car from the factory safely last for ...
  18. Pretty sure @marc ... is the only person on here to actually build a 2.35 for someone. Perhaps PM him. Everything else is likely to be conjecture.
