I was actually looking into this last night. Haven't decided where to mount the gauges though (don't wanna look like those Indian guys on high octane by having too many)
Water temp - wouldn't it be better to tap on the bottom pipe (inlet) to radiator?
Oil temp/ pressure - supposedly there's places to tap under the I/c or sandwich to electric sender (for space concerns) or the sump
I do not know any of these places so pics would help
Aww why can't we have a fairy tale ending?
People should just stop being dodgy and on selling crap wares.
This happened with me with shocks. I literally got 'shafted'.
I got them inspected and they were as good as trash.
All the best bud. Hope it all works out
Yarr. Il give it a try when one pops up. The reason why I wanted to avoid ones with humps is one side sits lower than the elevated side to compensate for integrity. If it were straight it would just sit over the top and clear.
Time to hunt
The forester one was straight (just bent where it attaches the links).
The v5 sti one I have has the hump for exhaust clearance but it's not in the right place lol (needs to be 10mm or more to the left/ or non existent lol)
Hi all,
Long story short, my exhaust piping hits the upgraded v5 sti rear sway bar thats installed because it has a kink in it to accommodate the standard set up.
Now, I was wanting to know out of the pre bug eye versions - which rear sway bar has the straightest parts with large clearance and best thickness for it not to contact.
I would consider aftermarket if the price is ok (not ridiculous $250 bucks etc)
Worst case scenario- borrow someone's working purple afm and wrx ecu and run it on a 'limp mode' till you figure out what it is.
It could be the ecu and afm combo etc
Are you meaning the climate control thing rather than the physical vent? I have to press the recirc button each time I turn mine off or it auto draws from outside
Iv got an sti intercooler on the car and it's got a weird probe sensor drilled and sealed to the bottom towards the manifold. I'm assuming this is an air temp sensor? Looks to be a 'tamiya' posi/negative connector at the end of the wires.
My question is 1) is there a way I can make use of this 2) why would it have been installed on it
You'd be surprised!! Have you been to the police auctions!!??
I was about to pick up one of their detective cars for 8k!
Reason i didnt in the end? I got a v7 instead
