If all the dash warning lights are glowing (oil pressure and charge etc) then thats a sure sign the regulator is scrood....however it wouldnt explain the electronic fail thats occuring even with the engine not running.

If you use a test light, use one with an incandescent bulb, not a LED. The LED ones don't draw enough current and can make bad fuses appear ok. Been there, done that, confused camper.

oh ok thought you were taking the piss.. used a test light as well as pulling out and checking visaully..

Right so just put a fresh battery on and started car...

Voltage across battery is 12.3-12.4 odd volts then when you turn lights etc on it drops to round 11.7 odd volts.

Swapped alternators and got the same readings

We then unplugged power to alternator and still got the same reading

SOOOO would appear teh signal to alternator is failing???

Not really helping us get any closer to the mass electrical fault

i know thats why its pissing me right off haha

As far as i know everything was working when we got the car....

We only used the rev d long block rest was from original motor..

As far as i can see everything is back as it should be...

No doubt at all its something silly..

So at currently the airbag light is on, rev and odo dont work, light showing where gearlever is selected not wroking also, heater fan, dash light dimmer, temp gauge and i think thats all off the top of my head

heheehe man it so sounds like a fuse :)

either Alt or ecu

does the alternator get its signal straight from battery or from ECU ?????

other thing I would check is check fuse continuity using a test light on the back of the fuse box, thinking of bad/corroded contacts

Well well well..

The route of the problem has been discovered...

When we originally couldnt get the car to start (wrong cam, crank pullys) my flatty pulled apart behind the fuse box under steering wheel.

He then "put back together" but apparently didnt do the bolt upholding the plug in place.

Which in term left dodgy connections or no connections..

Soon as he tightened that up (We were doing a mass double check everything tonight) it worked fine...

So is all sweet..

;D

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
