Yet more CEL codes! HELP!!!

Hey guys. As you may have read on previous threads, i have been having horrible 'cold start' problems. The car sounds like its running on two cylinders at about 0.004rpm for about 5 - 10 seconds on start up but only when its cold. No engine warning light when starting. So tonight i have been reading through the codes and ways to bring them up and this is what it threw back at me....

23 Mass air flow sensor (AFM)

24 Idle air control solenoid

So now i have a few questions!

I have brought a can of AFM cleaner and cleaned as per the instructions and still the code comes up. Looks clean, all wires on tight. What do i do?

Idle air control....umm. Well tonight i took off the bunch of wires connected to the IAC and sprayed it with some contact cleaner, also took the main magnectic piece off and did the same. Anything else i can do?

Do i reset the ECU after bringing up a code? Need to drive it in the morning so a quick reply would be great

yup reset it... guessing you know how reading the other posts.. then see if it does it again.

you might have a dead AFM.. *waits for techy boys to arrive*

Thanks for that. Is there a chance the ECU is making the car do this and all i have to do is reset the ECU?

nope - very unlikely. your ecu is just reacting to something not reading correctly in the engine. clearing codes will allow a new one to be read from faulty equipment most likely if you didnt fix it with your efforts mentioned in first post.

Just reset the ECU and the code light flashed at a normal rate as soon as i connected the green plug. Took it for a 5 min drive and the same result. No codes spat at me, just the normal flashing. What next? Cheers

Yeah I'm not sure on this either,

I was getting CEL codes flash at me but after resetting now i only get steady flashing when I connect the two black wires
