legacy-2L turbo vs 3.0L Economy

mate is looking to buy either a b4 rsk or the slightly newer RS30's? i think thats what they're called. 6 cylinder 3 litres.

But is wondering will the 3.0L drink alot more or be pretty similar?

It all depends on how they're driven. Much of a muchness though would be my opinion. I would go the RS30 way.

From my experience of owning both in wagon form the 3.0L is a little better on fuel for sure.. but then its all how you drive either in the end.. i had a manual gtb and now auto gt30 and the auto i think counts a lot towards more calm and smooth driving around town rather then jumping on the turbo for 2nd gear then driving calmly once in 3rd or 4th..

I have a BL 3.0 and a BP 2.0GT. A bit newer I know but they are averaging out at about the same fuel consumption of 9.6km/L.

The GT is driven by my fiance though so consumption should be a bit lower .

The GT is thirstier than the 3.0 if you give it grief, but can be more frugal than the 3.0 if you baby it.

my open road best for my D rev rsk (earlier ones use more fuel) is about 8.2l/100km taupo>palmy>taupo>tauranga with some driving in palmy and avg 100k plus cruising speed. around town usually between 12 to 14, driving style plays a huge roll

I average 8.3L/100km in my gt30 open road. Around town its usually around 10-12L/100km
