Receivers to continue to trade

Greg Keith and Matt Byrnes of Grant Thornton Melbourne were appointed Receivers and Managers of the ACL Group on 26 August 2009.

The appointment of receivers followed the decision by the directors of ACL to appoint KordaMentha as Voluntary Administrators earlier on the same date.

The intention of the receivers is to continue to trade the business to ensure continuity of supply to the automotive industry while all available options are considered for the future of the ACL Group.

The 26th August 2009 when the recievers took control of the company but that statement is what is still showing on their website. The NZ ACL website is still up and running and so is the rest of the AU one.

I wouldn't worry unless I was trying to buy some and no one could source any and then I'd just find an alternative (source and or product).

on that note, what is the alternative product apart from genuine?

If PBMS use genuine, that's good enough for me.

Except not everyone can afford genuine. Have also been recomended NDC by an experience (and knowledgable) engine builder.

Apparently they are also made by the same people that make the genuine ones also.

In saying that most well known builders dont use ACL anymore for whatever reason?

I asked Dave the other week. Its apparently because for a while they were having trouble with Delamination and they were just falling to bits. He said he had a case where they did two rebuilds on the same engine where they clapsed both times.

Have heard similar stories on NASIOC.

This is exactly what murray at PBMS told me. He said they tried them, and were not impressed at all, and ended up going back to genuine. This whas a good 2 years ago though.

I always though people used them cause they were better, or because of a distrust in factory ones, didn't know it was cause they were simply cheapies.

Do it once, do it right.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
