Vacuum Diagrams

Recommended Posts

I'm after info and diagrams on the vacuum lines.

Specificly the little red-brown with black thing on the end of it and two nipples for lines that is on the very top of the bracket behind the filter box... has a plug on the top of it too.

The way its set up at the moment has a line to the manifold on the horizontal nipple and is sucking air in the other one. What does this thing do/ment to do.

Its the one in the top right corner (only half of it is showing) of the pic in this post. http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php?topic=757.0

pretty sure thats a sensor which makes your boost cut once it reaches a certain point (ie 16psi) unplug this and you will have no boost cut (rangi mod which is bad for your car but it does work) my mate has a legacy gt wagon and he runs 16psi strong without an aftermarket boost controller, he just pulled off some pipe and unplugged the senser and now the car doesnt have a boost cut.

**I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND DOING THIS**

top one map sensor? takes presure reading off the manifold?

cylinder one is boost control solinode??

dont have any info on it though, there is two types of boost control solinoids, 2 hose and 3 hose, not sure how the 3 hose works though.

dont quote me on any of this though :D

Look back tonight and ill hook you up.

I have all the sensor and line diagrams at home. Actually or look up turbosmart wastegate manual as i think they have them in the back.

Pretty sure the black square one under it is the MAP sensor.. I never figured out what mine did either but it was one transplanted from a WRX so they definately have them too

Unplug it and see what code it throws?

pressure exchange solenoid, on my V5 one end connects to vaccuum source (inlet manifold) the other to the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor.

If its not connected your ECU wont know how much boost your engine is running (this is bad)

I'm assuming the ECU adjusts your fuel and/or timing according to how much boost your MAP sensor runs. hopefully some technical guru can confirm this.

Mine got blown off and I'm sure its part of the reason I ran a bearing, I was hitting 17psi and ECU thought I didn't have any boost, causing it to lean out.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
