Heater Fan Resistor replacement

Hi Guys

I need your help.

The heater fan only works on 4 in my 87 leone RX coupe.

I have tried to find the resistor that controls the heater fan speed with no luck so far.

Does anyone have any pictures of what this resistor looks like. I know it is up under the dash on the passengers side.

Just want to avoid pulling to much of the heater out if I don't have to.

I have already tried to swap the fan motor over so I know it's not attached to this.

I have just scored a donor car over the weekend and the fan works on all speed in it so I want to swap them over.

IIRC its in the side of the fan unit up under the passengers foot area. two screws & a plug to remove and on the resistor pack its self there is a single contact to resolder there is one that normally comes unsoldered.

Should be resonably obvious, its will have a plug on it and two screws.

When you get it out Post a pic of it if you get stuck with what to solder

Will try and get out to the shed during the week to find it.

Found the image below which shows it nicely.

and believe me they are a sh!t to get out, cant really get a screw driver onto the screw straight so it is easy to round of the screw

got it fixed and yes I did round off the screw. Ended up taking the whole fan housing out to remove the rounded off screw.

But all back together and going now.
