...i found word of mouth / getting out and talking to people was the best way to attract new members.

encourage the members you already have to talkto others that own subarus... area reps could give some of there spotted cards to members - the more cards we put out the more likely we to get new people to read / visit / attend things...

We're sorta going through the same situation on Southern Skylines. Last year was our best year yet, we were getting 10-15 Skylines or more to every meet for about four or more months in a row (then came Winter). Forums have died down quite a bit recently, but hopefully it all picks up again soon.

Main thing to do is to keep organising meets each month, otherwise you'll end up like ToySpeed Dunedin and die off (i could get it going again like i did back in the day but don't have time/petrol money etc).

clubsub seems to be going better than a lot of other car clubs.. even tho it is only a few of us

Thinking the hump maaaay hopefully be almost over - it's been a week or two since any catastrophic BAAAAAAAAAAAAW has happened. The trick is now what SkylineObsession mentioned - get the meets rolling.

It's nice to see some movement and good suggestions coming from the committee too ;D
