DOUBLE HELP! NOW I'M STUCK AT WORK

Not the greatest way that I wanted to meet you all or the best first impression, I started the stutter thread but now this.

Now its screwed, I just went to leave and it went from idling normally to below 1000rpm.... back up again so I gave it some reves fine..... went to reverse... started to die.... now it idles below 1000rpm ready to die now it wont idle at all and any gas applied only chokes it.

I'm stuck on the ground level carpark under ground.

Man, just when things were going sweet........ dammit.

I checked and I dont even have the tools to try and reset the ECU to see if that would work.

i know its late and all probly already fixed but have you thourght about fuel pump???

mite be making fuck all pressure but just enuf to run ya know???

By the time the AA showed, my building access had been revoked so I couldn't get back in :-[ so I'm here now wainting again. Have reset the ECU in the mean time. Havnt run diagnostics as of yet. Will wait for the AA.

No probs with the AA though, it was a busy night and the guy was cool enough to give me a ride home.

Thanks for your help guys. It was the Fuel Pump. Nothing there whatsoever.....dead.

should be an easy fix?

If any of you can help with a replacement it would be much appreciated. Pref very good working order sec hand.

sorry to read about your problem. same thing happened to me on the way to work last week. i managed to source a second-hand fuelpump from strong brothers subaru wreckers in onehunga cost me about $170 incl g.s.t with six month warranty this was for the complete unit and it just dropped in place of the old one! took about an hour doin'it myself.repco charges $235. form just the pump unit. of course theirs are new so that may be a factor .

Not good to hear about the issue but good to hear that it is an easy fix. I have read up and will look at doing it myself as seem straight forward. Was planning on just getting a sechand pump unit but $170 for the complete unit incl warranty sounds very reasonable.

if your planning on modifying your engine? id be considering a walbro pump as you can get good deals on the net for them. atleast then you know you have a new pump and its already upgraded to flow enough for some big boost

True that, I have future mods in mind but not until I get a reasonable fresh engine as this one is pushing 190kms

Putting money into the setup and ride first while I wait for that to happen.
