Starting Issues - Now with Video

lol my car does the same as the 2nd vid, all the time, i put it down to the G1 link ecu not being the best for starting, maybe something is poked?

yeah g1 mite not have a cold start function but im unsure of this and please dont quote me....

You are letting the system prime / boot first aye? ie turn ignition on wait 3-4sec then start

I have seen this type of problem in another car.....

Turned out that the guy had played with some sub amp wiring and blown the main fuse.....

Turned out that the computer had suffered a spike and was over fueling at startup. his sounded almost identical to what yours is doing.

His would go fine for weeks then playup for no apparent reason.

He would do a battery disconnect and it would be ok for a week or so sometimes but you never knew when it would happen again..

He changed the computer about 2 months ago and the problem has gone away.

Try another computer dude.

This sounds about right, if i unplug the fuel pump or disconnect the battery then it would start normally till i drive around the block and turn it off, however I'm going to try replace the fuel pump first as its making so rather weird noises so will have to be replaced soon anyways, if that doesn't fix the problem then I'll get the computer checked out.

i don't know the history of the car as i've just brought it for my project car, but i do remember something about a fuse being blown but the previous owner didn't give any details, maybe i do have the same thing..

is there anyone in Wellington with a ECU that i could used to check (plug in and test out) for a 1992 GT Legacy???? My ECU has K3 on it, What ECU can i used in my car?

Mhm nah i never done that lol, will have to try it, doesn't really bother me tbh, dave from pf auto hada look at the car afew days ago to sort afew idle (cold idle included) issues he started it afew times but never said anything about it
