question: when you converted to manual mattydamon and then altered the ecu/injectors/AFM to STi fettle was this the same as altering this for a manual version>???

Gearbox brain is seperate from the engine ecu from memory (a bit hazy, was a long while ago now). Would probably work I think, need someone to give it a go really to find out for sure.

sounds about right.

Kit should have:

Gearbox

Gearbox mounts (check he's given you the right ones, we had a hiccup with mine and I was given an auto rear and had to pop back for a manual one, in their defense my kit was put together very quickly)

Clutch and associated bits

Clutch Cyl + all piping

Manual pedal box

Manual drive shaft

+ all misc bits and bolts. That's all I can remember from my kit. You don't need a manual ecu or anything but you'll have to find a new home for the ABS computer as the auto one normally lives where your clutch pedal will be going. I mounted mine under the dash where the annoying "your door is open and keys are in the ignition" noise box used to live

so i just need the 6S ECU, yellow 440s and the orange AFM and im good to go???

how many more killer whats does it make?

Would take a while guess and say around 30-40kw, maybe a wee bit less seeing the auto sucks more power. I dyno'd mine factory auto at 128.4@wkw now has with manual and STI bits 184@wkw

Not really in a forester, or at least not as you would with a WRX. Foresters have different cams/heads from wrx's and make their peak power well before the redline when the turbo's generally run out of puff.

Talking to Gary Capper when I got my last dyno he was surprised to see I was still running a TD04 but said that a bigger STi spec turbo would improve midrange power and torque but wouldnt do too much more in peak power on the standard engine.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
