Removing ABS help please.

Soo... I have a 95 legacy with masive amounts of work being done to it : and I am about to paint engine bay and get rid of the ABS unit (It hasn't worked in 3 years) What Im wanting to know is, do i just need to get all accociated lines and brake booster from the engine bay of a non ABS model? or is there more to it? ???

Basically yes,also remove all traces of the ABS system.

Wheel sensors,ABS controller,dash light

It may also have to be certed ??

You know my policy:

If it doesnt fit force it, if all out fails, use cable ties.

Replace old master cylinder & proportion valve with non ABS master cylinder & proportion valve,

remove the ABS fues's & relay's, the ABS dash bulb, unplug & remove main pump unit in engine bay.

you will have to shorten the front & rear brake lines or either sorce new front ones or have them made up in the car, the fronts are not to bad to make up with an empty engine bay, but the rear's run in through the car along the drivers sill so are a little more tricky.

BNT sells bundy tube & if you have a double flairing tool available, you could make a nice tidy job of it.

Thanks!! I will probably get someone to make some up depending on cost. If I get some one to do it, do they need to replace rear lines?

no i wouldnt replace the rears unless they were damaged, & i doubt that they are so just have them shortened up, worst comes to worst have a joiner put in,

So, today I went to pick-a-part and bought;

-brake booster

-brake bias valve

-front brake lines

I test fitted it and rear brake hoses bolt strait in. So happy! Abs removal complete!
