Hey guys,

After a spare transponder key/remote for my Subaru Legacy 2004 GT. Trying to save some coin on the $600 or so Subaru want for it.

Had a look at these ones on aliexpress:

http://www.aliexpress.com/store/500700/200438805-429873674/Subaru-Remote-Key-3button-315mhz.html

http://www.aliexpress.com/store/500700/200438805-422921939/Subaru-3button-Remote-Key-433mhz.html

But not sure if I'd need the 315MHz version or the 433MHz version. Does anyone know?

Cheers,

Eddie

Well, in case anyone else is looking, it looks like these guys will do one to suit my car:

http://www.gtmechtronix.co.nz

Their part-number is GTKR120, they quoted $255.00 incl cutting/programming and GST. Seems pretty reasonable to me.

The website is god-awful, but I think they might be quite good at what they do. So I think I'll give them a go!

only way to have remote lock/unlock on another key is to buy genuine

Lockshops can copy your transponder chip frequency and then cut a key with transponder chip freq idential - but no remote option

$cost is around $150

Really? - Because the email I got from GT Mechtronix would suggest otherwise.

There is nothing that cannot be reversed engineered and duplicated, given enough persistence.

I'll of course get it in writing before parting with any money however.

Contact Beveridge locksmiths in Lower Hutt

They Do transponder keys and chips as a copy of your key - so no coding needed

Yeah have seen the option Beveridge offer but I'm after one as close as possible to the factory remote (i.e. with unlock/lock/boot buttons). So will give GT Mechtronix a go, failing that will fork out for the genuine one.

Cheers for the suggestions though :)

I'll report back with my findings.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
