turbosmart boost tee

im gonna put a turbo smart bosst tee in to my version 7 i know its been covered before but just a few tips would be cool... do i keep the brass pill in the line or remove it? the stock lines look a little thin what size sillicone hose is recommended? how would you suggest to block the hole on the inlet after i remove it? and do i remove both hoses off the standard solenoid or just 1 if so which 1 there is 1 coming in side on and the 1 at a right angle underneath? and do i unplug the solenoid or just leave it plugged in ? thanks heaps for the tips people

Leave solenoid plugged in to wiring or get cel. Remove vac hoses from solenoid completely. Run hose as short as possible with boost tee in the right direction.. Dont run boost pill or you will get insane spike... Use larger hose (5mm) works best and thats what most controller manufactures recommend

Oh and the line that recircs back to intake pipe just put a screw in it and cable tie it if you want . . . . . . It would be great if you could plumb the boost tee bleed ports back in to the intake

yep.tru and use new vac hoses to.i found heaps of mine were split or leaking from little holes.andddd looks nicer haha

let me know how the turbosmart tee is.the atomic on i used was crap.

nah i dont think the bleed valves are design like that.there air just leaks out.'bleed stlye vavle"

Ya cant on the turbosmart ones cos they have 2 little ports on the side . . . You cant hook up to them . . . . Some boost taps are 3 port . . You can plumb them back in . . . . It doesnt really matter any way

yea no worries alex will drop you a line thought atomic would have been ok I like to use turbosmart for quality more than anything

Bleed means to bleed air off the actuator . . You can get 3 port taps which you can plumb back in because the boost tap is creating a boost leak . . . Electronic controllers have no leaks

WHat boost you going to run ? Ive never really had success with bleed valves trying to get big boost with soft waste gate springs . . . .

trying to bring it down from 21 to 19 or 18 i reckon only cost me 50 bux if it dont work will go to the e boost2 or the hdi ebc

Oh yeah sounds good . Would be good to see if it can hold boost good . . I had my old car on dyno with turbosmart boost tee (new style) and each run the boost was quite inconsistent . . Red up online about it and apparently its cos the flow across the ball and spring isnt quite the same each time . . What I red any way lol lol

yeah might take those out and see how it goes as well heard it makes it spongy though

If ya take em out it will make it spool slower . The theory of the spring is to hold the gate shut as long as possible . . You get better control apparently with them out though . . . Gfb dont run spring and ball at all just straight bleeding all day

yea will see how it goes either way just need it before i put the exhaust on I got ordered at redline going to 3 inch is bound to make the boost go up so keeping it under 20 is sensible for longevity reasons for now

Yea you will get some spike with 3 inch . Why not just put the exhaust on and get pappu to re map your boost curve at 19 pound .. He can make a super smooth curve just hold it hard to red line

yea its one option but that dude is hard to get work done me and him have been trying to get things done for a while jus conflicting schedules so I'm gonna get all the parts on and then hopefully catch him to do it the other option I looked at was E&H motors for the tuning

Yeah just get a full dyno tune (reflash) and get the most out of your mods !
