i heard that there is a white tank under the factory airfilter box resonation chamber that is restricting the noise the car makes. and by removing it, it can make it sounds louder and more grunty. has any one done this before? is it easy to do?

the correct medical term is 'snorklectomy'

you will get more noise, less off-the-mark low rpm torque, and seemingly better top end flow.

I've given this a go on my GTB and found the results to be hmmmmm almost pointless, I found the engine responded better with the airbox in and you really had to listen out for the "gruntier" engine note.

I ended up putting it all back in how it was from factory.
