I would say no.

Justification:

• intercooler should be silver
  
• manifold should be red
  
• turbo looks smaller than deathz0r's penis
  
• injectors - should have yellows, looks like it has greys
  
• automatic transmission - sti's were never mated to one, and I've heard tell of them not lasting very long when you apply power to them
  

Looks to me like a wrx engine out of a v3 (ie. aside from the turbo I could not tell that one apart from mine)

Finding out the sticker on the afm would also help - if it's purple, then wrx engine it is

Well we can see that the afm is purple.

I asked the guy if it was STI or non, he said he knows its an STI. I've asked about the turbo afm ecu and injectors, but we know what the afm and injectors are. Lets see what he says lol.

yeah, I'd say its not an sti... it just doesnt look right aye.

unless he's been a muppet, run an sti bottom end with standard fozzy bits and ecu etc etc...

The heads are also cosmetically different between the Sti and wrx iirc, I myself cannot tell the difference as yet but someone should be able to

i hit the guy up and just told him straight its not sti cos of those certain bits and he changed the subject asking if i was keen on other forester parts lol

mal i asked him if he had the guards you need but e doesnt know what im talking about
