strut mod for more camber

I have rotated the top hat of the front struts to give max caster, min SAI and min camber as discussed

in another thread. I only have one set of camber bolts currently (installed on the rear), and have been told

rally guys usually modify the struts rather than install weaker camber bolts. Has anyone done this?

I was thinking about widening the bottom bolt hole of the strut, to give a fixed increase... then put the factory

camber adjust bolt in the top hole for fine adjustment.

sound about right?

Chris built the coil over shocks for my rs... That guy is a wealth of knowledge.

He has a good set of cam/cas settings he gave me.

Going to Mag and Turbo next week to get them dialed in.

Not sure Wether to post them up or not......

Can Pm them to ya if ya want.

chris has rebuilt a couple of shocks for me recently, but he's a bit far away to use for much.

I'm going to take it to Total Performance for a wheel alignment soon, just want to get the

camber adjustability sorted without rip off camber bolts.

I've done a bit of searching and it doesn't sound like a big deal at all to modify the struts.

I'll just dremel a mm of the top bolt hole, and go from there.

Loren, dont bother with camber bolts, use a die grinder/dremel - its easy as, done it on my ones. You can actually get quite a bit of camber out of it. Only thing you have to watch out for is that it will move the wheel/tyre closer to the strut - can be quite close if your coilover locking rings are at the same height as the tyre...

Thanks... was planning on doing the dremel thing. I worked out 1.1mm will give exactly 1 degree, so was going to

cut away 3mm from the bottom bolt hole... then with the standard top camber bolt I'd be able to set between 2 and 4mm

of neg camber (approximately).

I will make sure the tyre isn't too close first though, good tip :)

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
