kyb type r struts

i bought some kyb struts for my car in very good condition off a 1997 type r sti, after installing the car actually sits higher then before ??? ??? , how why??? i installed it all correctly, it just doeant make any sense ohh and my car is a v6 wrx sti 4door

They sent u the wrong shocks, v6 I think has a different spring seat height and I'm guessing it's sti? If it is I had the same issue with a customer all sti shocks have a different height because they are slightly lower from factory, the Kyb that u have got is most likely just off a normal wry of the same year

The kybs i got are red and i saw the 97 sti type r coupe it came out of when i went to pick up the shocks, yup mine is a ver 6 sti, i thought sti type r struts wil make my car sit at the same height if not lower and didnt expect it to raise my car. I havnt installed the fronts yet.

Yea but it has lowering springs on :-[ my mate has the same jamex springs on his ver 6 sti and it sits much lower.....my car is actually at factory height if not higher
