Help fitting ZeroSports grill to BL BP Legacy

Hi mates, first post here.

So I got the grill second hand from trademe, was told it should fit my car no probs - 05 Legacy GT.

I've also seen others, mainly usdms, with it on but either way this grill is for jdm cars.

Anyway, I tried to fit it myself, no real luck so I took it down to a shop.

They told me and showed me why it wouldnt fit. :-\

Here are some pics:

1) You can see the latch getting in the way there

2)The gap between the screw holes

3)Close up of the latch

4)Bonnet cannot close properly

5)Gap between the sides of the grill

Any help guys would be appreciated ???

That would probably be because it fits the facelift revision.

Circa 07/08 they did some superficial things...

Damnit, really?

All the ones I've seen online say 05+, nothing specifically for 07

Either way this thing isnt fitting :-[

but pretty sure mayhap someone here may now more, I am only really looking at the BM/BR now for our next wagon

Hmm well someone now mentioned that my car could be a pre facelift 2005.

The grill is meant for 05+ legacys, is there a way to tell if mine is a pre?

What does it say on your rego sticker looks pre facelift to me

Facelift for you to compare photos (2007 model). Yours is a pre-facelift - grills don't look significantly different in shape but I've heard they are different enough that they're not interchangable.

Facts below

The model in your picture is pre facelift. the facelift was not in 05 it was late 06 to 2009

And thr grille you bought will be for spec b bumper which is different again
