i want more boost

but cant get a decent bost controller for a good price. What is a good one to get for subaru? or should i just clamp the wastegate actuator line shut with vice grips?lol ;D

you could just get a manual boost controller, since your running the factory actuator that'll be fine. or take the actuator line off all together if you really want more boost lol

HKS evc4 - holds boost strong and builds it nice and early

if u on a lower budget - get a HDI one - itsgot the 2 dials low and high and connects to ur ecu

bloody good as well

i used that on my v3 sti and was pretty good!!

When people say HDi, all I can think about is "High-pressure Diesel injection".

Alternatively, good boost gauge and a boost tap would be the cheapest option.

check on trademe for the electronic boost controller - the HDI ones are cheap-ish and do a dam good job .

i personally wont tap the boost as dont really trust it to run to the edge..

depending on the car, you might as well spend a little bit more than a tap but at least u wont be blowing things up..

i know of a few VR4 and an evo4 that over boosted due to tap and the engine went bye bye
