Performance Tuning Shops - AKL

Does anyone know of any decent Performance garages which can do engine rebuilds, turbo upgrades, ecu's. I'm located in Auckland and don't many around here.

Any help would be great.

I'll second that. He is in the same building as PBMS these days anyway.

Personally I find possumbourne and gcp too expensive. I use PS Automotive in pukekohe too I gurantee you he knows his stuff and he is cheaper then the others mentioned.

Thats not at all true, you can find great mechanics that don't rip you off and really do know they stuff . My car is prime example of what can be done without spending the earth. I certainly didn't get a job done by a monkey and the car handles and performs perfectly and have done so at 20psi for 3 and a half years, the last 6 months of which was racing.

add another vote for Gary Capper. he's not only a great mechanic but a pretty nice guy to deal with.

No worries no offence was taken, before meeting paul ( PS automotive) I definitley would have agreed with you, but he truly has changed my mind about mechanics, you don't always have to pay through the roof for a great job. The fact he is friends with GCP and they have a mutal respect for each others mechanical abilities should prove his standard.

I think GCP is awsome at tuning cars there is no doubt there and my car was tuned by him and will be in future, I just think for engine rebuilds and all the other stuff you can get the same standard of service but for a little less.

P.S I am speaking from personal experience.

Thanks for the help guys. need to know for future. I'm gonna go check out ST Hi-Tec & NS Spec on Saturday.. They seem to be the only places open on weekends.
