BOV Test

I've still got a nasty air noise when dropping off the gas gently at bout 3000rpm. I think it may be the factory bov and GT_head thought it might bge too.

If anyone else has ideas on what it may be I'm open to all suggestions to fix this damn noise its driving me nuts!

Anyone got a factory bov that would suit my forester I could borrow just to try pinpoint the problem (beers and pizza would also be involved because I'd need a hand fitting it too)?

Got a bov at mine I still need but you can test it out if ya want since my engines not together atm

According to the guy at the garage i can just clamp my lines and try running it (for a smallish time) with no b.o.v to see if that's whats causing the noise. Might try that but if no dice it could be ideal to try with a different one. Is your factory or aftermarket? I don't have any adapters or anything to try fitting something aftermarket to the foz

its factory, aparently off a v4 ra. not the bolt on to intercooler type.

That's sweet because most of the v3 v4 stuff fits. I'll get back to you after I've had a chance to test it this weekend and see whats up.

Simple as to fit mate. You wont have any problems doing it yourself.

thought id steal this thread a bit if u dont mind..

ive got a genuine HKS gen 3 BOV with a s14 adaptor.. when i connect the BOV to the adaptor its sits sweetly and doesnt move up and down but it spins around.. just want to know if its normal as i went to take my car for a tune and they said my IC pipes was leaking so i fixed that and while i was at it i changed the BOV (had a GFB BOV previously).. just want to make sure that its normal for the BOV to do that b4 i take it in for another tune so it doesnt cost me an arm and a leg just to find out i have a leak still..

My HKS ssqv didnt spin round at all. stayed in the exact position i mounted it...

dont sound right to me
