no boost headache

hi guys i have a 1993 twin turbo legacy and it boosts when it feels like it so i did the CEL code check and came up with 66 which is awesomely helpful so after many hours of hunting around i found this

which is to clean out solenoids with carb cleaner i sprayed the solenoids with carb cleaner and reset the ecu to clear codes and started the car and CEL was on so turned it off and it now comes up with code 45 really getting annoyed now just want my boost back and running good after spending a month getting a wof for it

Check the all the vacuum hoses and connectors, might have dislodged the one going to pressure sensor.

have just pulled it off again and all lines appear to be in tact thinking there might still be a bit of cleaner in the solenoids giving up code 45 so have disconected the batterey again to reset it and will try again and report back

still have code 45 starting to hate this car haha knew there was a reason for me not liking subaru's in saying that when they go they go good haha

Your best option might just be to pick up a second hand solenoid box off another GT of the same year.

+1 Had a similar problem a year or so back and in the end ended up getting another BBOD. Cars been running mint ever since

ok anyone selling a BBOD for BG5 legacy want to get this thing running mint again

Put up an add in the wanted section. Failing that theres always HEAPS of BG GTs being wrecked on TM. Just make sure its from a car with the same transmission type eg auto or manual
