Recommended Posts

Car is a 98 v3 gf8 sti and ive been having some trouble with it since yesterday :'( tried reseting the ecu and flashes code 32, so today went and bought a genuine o2 sensor from armstrong subaru installed and still flashes 32 when i try to reset, doesn't seem to flash any fault codes when in d mode but does flash 32 when in reset mode. car will sometimes run good then sometimes it loses power backfires and stalls like its out of gas and seems to run rough on cold start and idle seems to surge sometimes as well,The downpipe has not got the exhaust temp sensor installed do i need this? any ideas guys im stumped!

Did you figure out what was wrong with your car. Been having the same problem. Have been told its ignition problem. Runs good when it's warmed up now but narrowband says its running lean and smells of petrol. Still has 32 fault code.

desnt sound to actually be a o2 fault - as the o2 isnt used during cold starts or cold temps - it doesnt listen to the o2 untill its warmed up

simptons of a bad o2 is hunting on idle - bad fuel milage and surging under light load

you get same symptoms with o2 unplugged

try unplugging the o2 - it will flash the codes but if it runs better - then its a o2 problem

could be wiring - is it melted?

exhaust temp?? as in for the cat converter? no you dont need that mine ran fine with it disconected

i remember when my ver 3s AFM shat it self - didnt throw the AFM code - but would be hard to start - idle all over the s*** - surge real bad when on load and back fire and stall etc - could be the AFM giving bad signals - could be the dry solder connections problem they seem to get

do you run a pod filter? if so (im not saying its the pod) but if the air intake isnt supported and AFM is just chilling there - the knocks and vibrations it takes screws them

really only guessing here - but im pretty sure if o2 goes out of the parameter it throws the code - car could be running all wack because of AFM and throwing the o2 code ?? only guessing tho

try a afm of a known good running car - someone on here should lend u a afm for a test

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
