Chassis number

hey I would like a chassis number or part number for rockercover gaskets to suit a v3 shim over bucket heads.

I am going genuine since aftermarket ones arent doing the job

the aftermarket gaskets work perfectly fine! you just gotta seam weld the rocker cover to the head after fitting ;D

and erm sorry not much help with the chassis number. are EJ20K / EJ20R all the same in terms of rocker cover gaskets? in which case '97 V3 WRX EJ20K GC8-055980

probably worth taking your old ones into the dealer, theres about 14 different rocker cover gasket versions, they should keep most of them in stock

oh and make sure you replace the rubber washers, they shrink them they're old which is what causes the rocker cover to move around and break the gasket seal

for v3-v4 there are infact 3 types of rocker cover gasket sets

aftermarket gaskets dont last as long as the genuine items, and the genuine items arent badly priced anyway

agreed you should replace the bolt washers
