legacy exhaust rumble

hey guys

Just got a 99 Subaru Legacy B4 TT, I bet this question has been asked a million times but I want to replace the factory exhaust system and get that sexy loud subaru rumble. What would you recommend in terms of size, set up and muffler type also where would you recommend going to get it done in Auckland?

i know it hase been descused, beleve HKS highpower ( something like that come up ) was in there somewere

I believe CS member Keltik had a nice rumbly exhaust for sale some time ago...can't remember if it was for a b4 or gt wagon....

Just getting a HKS Silent Hi Power diff-back system will not negate you a deep grumble! lol.. trust me i know lol though, Downpipes and Midsection are on there way for my zaust.. 8)

i didnt know thought they did a full exhaust?

for me to get the sound i wanted took, custom manifolds upipes , rage 2.5inch downpipe and Y, 3inch straight pipe running 2 hi flow cats

I don't know why poor old chris's one is so quiet, it's either a new design, or a different design for the BH's. I used to have an HKS silent high power diff back in the BG, it was pleanty loud and rumbly on it's own. Then i got it a full 3" system along with a new (a year old now) silent high power when i swapped to single turbo and it clocks in between 95 and 97 dB.

Look on the rage exhaust website too, they have some nice options for the TT's, i'm running a rage down pipe and mid pipe in mine, they do mufflers too.

Mines for a GT but can be easily chopped for a B4. Only difference i can see is in the length of the tip.

Id offer you to come round and try it...but as your in auckland thats probably not going to work

i think its due to da shear size of the barrel muffler Reuben.. it muffles all the sound.. hence its silent! lol! but will see when i get downpipes and 2.5" midsection..

it's a bit high at the moment, SHOULD be coming down to earth this afternoon... But it wont, not if my luck regarding ride height continues.
