2002 Legacy front door speakers info?

Hi

Got a query about the fronts of my Legacy 2002 which are running of the Macintosh head unit and if anyone could shed some light, that would be good.

Thinking about upgrading/changing the head deck, putting 6x9s in the back and new ?components? in the doors, and maybe getting it set up for a mid range sub in the boot. Dunno if it's just me or other people but since the day i got it, the front door seems to distort/vibrate the door pretty easily - uneven with the bass turned to +/-0.

Will upgrading the fronts and putting in spacers get rid of the distortion/rattling against the door?

And if i want the feeling of surround sound, will 6x9s in the back be decent enough?

Annnnnd are the any advantages/disadvantages of getting 1 way/2 way/3 way etc 6x9s or is it just a clever marketing ploy?

I'd normally just buy speakers/amp etc off trade me and shock myself/mess with frequencies until it sounds right, but might actually pay a professional to do it properly this time, so yeah not after a award winning setup, just some decent speakers that can play out all the frequencies and a head deck that is not spitting out mai fm 24/7. Any info or experiences would be good to know. Cheers!

There are stickied posts describing basically what you are after, depending on if your system has the Macintosh Amplified system or not. if it is, there is a bit of wiring trickery involved, but any shop would be able to do it, but following my details you should be able to do it yourself.

As far as the speakers go, if /when you take the door cards off, you'll probably find the foam surrounds are mush and crumble in your hands. This is what is causing the distortion - basically they are buggered. Any new speaker will sound infinitely better than a shagged factory one.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
