Hi there i have a supposed to be STi RA close ratio box, broken 1st gear teeth on input main shaft & gear cog (pinion shaft), Right o now the tran's code is gone & i want to replace with new component's, i contacted geartec a couple of month's back & have counted all the teeth on all gears and even crownwheel & pinion ANY HELP please, this gearbox hasn't been in any of my cars, was bought broken.

ON THE MAIN SHAFT: 1st-11 teeth, Rev-12t, 2nd-16t, 3rd-29t, 4th-34t, 5th-40teeth,

ON THE PINION SHAFT: 1st-38t, Rev-41t, 2nd-33t, 3rd-42t, 4th-37t, 5th-33teeth,

CROWN WHEEL -37 teeth

PINION -9 teeth

I think you may have posted on my trademe auction for my first and second gearset.

This pdf: http://www.filefactory.com/file/ag1c044/n/Subaru_Transmissions_Specs_pdf has allot of gear ratios for different gearboxes.

Looking at your ratios: 1:3.454, 1:2.062, 1:1.448, 1:1.088 and 1:0.825

Your box could be TY754VB1AA, TY752VBCBA, TY752VB4AA, TY752VB3FA, TY752VB3CA,

Most of which are STi boxes and not RA boxes.

My gears are 1:3.083 and 1:2.062 which are the same as RA ratios, so if you wanted to run RA ratios then they would work. I'll sell the lot for $100 to a clubsub member.

PM kamineko, he has pulled his gearbox (sti ra) apart before and changed his final drive gear and is just in the process of rebuilding now as it striped gear(s) at Ruapuna in April.... any questions about them he is a pretty good person to talk to ...
