Is it possible to fit a v7 sti topmount onto a be legacy?

I've thought about it for a while and am wanting to know if a v7 sti top mount would fit into a be5 engine bay and bolt up to the piping? I read on here that another clubsubber put one on his bh so sounds possible?

I'm in the process of putting onto my bh a v7 WRX one: not an STi one, but I've gone single turbo: so having to modify brackets and Y-pipe to fit. So it is a small mission but not too serious.

Sweet, bet it'l be way nicer than the standy one. Do you know if the twin turbo y pipes would bolt onto the v7 ic?

They aren't Y-pipes not even connected but yeah they fit onto the v7 if you are getting one a wrx one will be plenty big if you get an STi v7 TMIC it'll only get more difficult: you will still have to extend the piping to the turbos from the tmic.

yeah: you'd have to extend both pipes to meet the turbos: they sit a bit more forward than when the old IC was on.

Short answer is it physically fits and there's been a few people do it, I was gonna pick one up last week for a hundy and try it but needed a new MTB instead haha

If you have to extend pipes, a pair of 1.5 inch silicon bends wont cost you that much and probably wouldn't hurt to do regardless

A stock V7 cooler doesn't look like much (if any?) different in size - the sti one looks like a reasonable jump up, but you'd have to do something with the air shroud / ducty thing for it to be worth the trouble, otherwise you're only forcing air over 3/4 of it
