1. Rough price to replace front inner cv boots?

2. I have a blitz id sbc. Car is unmodified mt, and was just wondering what optimum psi was and other settings for it?

3. I also hace a apexi Safc2. Dont have a clue about that. Anyone know how i should set that?

4. How do i know if my map sendor is ok? Is there a diagnostic tool for this?

5. I have just got this car. Should i reset the ecu? If so, how to reset?

6. What is upper engine cleaner used for? Is it just cosmetic? Should i use it anywhere since ive just got the car?

7. What is ecu reflashing? And how much does it cost roughly?

I can answer a few of your questions

You probably dont need to reset your ECU unless it has issues

Subaru Upper Engine Cleaner is used for cleaning inside the bores and inside your manifold can stop knocking and improve fuel economy - I persoanlly put a can through any subaru I buy

an ECU reflash basicly tunes your ECU to run better on our fuel - or get more power

Sell it, use money for option 7. To be honest the E-Tunes seem to det badly enough at stock boost you\'d be playing with fire raising it up.

Same as above - sell it use money for reflash.

It has one, but it\'s only used for keeping an eye on the turbo switchover - the car uses a MAF not a MAP sensor - you could check with a multimeter if it\'s working though

Sure, does no harm - easiest way is to just unplug the battery for a few minutes - if that\'s a pain you can reset it via the green an black plugs under the dash (i forget which ones do what... 30 sec on google will tell you). Can\'t hurt anything.

It cleans the inside of the intake and cylinders etc out - follow the directions on the can, yes it is even recommended by subaru as part of their normal servicing

7. What is ecu reflashing? And how much does it cost roughly?

It is what used to be called "chipping" an ECU - they call it mapping in the UK - optimising fuel ign boost to get more power/mileage etc. You can sell the boost controller and SAFC as they are piggyback devices trying to achieve the same thing. Cost budget around $1200 as a ballpark - best to be done after you have done anything else planned (larger exhaust etc)

What revision is it? Look on the chassis tag will be BH5(c or d). I think only D is tuneable.

If its a 2003 E-tune - it will be BH5-D

CV boots $10-20 anymore youre getting reamed. Not to difficult to do yourself just need a jack, socket set and a punch for the gearbox end of the axle.

Im pretty sure cleaners on TM.
