2000 b4 rsk vs v7 wrx stockvs v5-6 wrx stock

I have been scouring the net about the specs over the wrx and b4s etc. What is the overall performance like between the v7 wrx and v5 and 6 wrxs. Was there a noticeable drop in horse power? I seem to be reading 226hp for the 2002 wrx and i thought it was up at 280hp standard for the b4s around that same year and also the older wrxs.

Can someone please clarify this? Were the older rex\'s that much quicker then the new? Or is the 226hp rex the american market only?

226hp sounds like the American/UK market, i thought all version 7s were around the 180-190KW range for JDM, V5/V6 were 198KW?? and RSK 205KW?? from memory though probably miles off knowing my memory. ;D

From Experience the power in the WRXs is a lot more drivable than the twin system, you have to learn how to drive to the strengths of the twin turbo,

older wud be quicker in a race as they lighter and not much in power difference

the newer one has a better daily driver friendliness and upgraded interior

depends what u want the car for wud be the coice between the 2

as for B4...if u plan to do any mods for power then stay away from it and stick to the rex as its easier and cheaper to power up

if u leaving it mostly stock then the B4 is pretty good for a daily
