Speedo Issue

So

We have a 2002 Legacy GT30 Wagon, the mrs used to skite that she never had a speeding ticket ever, and I have had a few.

Anyway, recently, she got one cop ticket of 116k, and one camera of 56k, i GPS\'d the speedo on it ages ago, and it was out, 108k = 100k actual speed.

Is there an easy way, and or what is the best way to have the speedo adjusted?

I would start by checking that your tire size is correct rolling diametre failing that then you can either get the speedo recalibrated OR fit an adjuster from JAYCAR

Who would i see to adjust it, just general garage? it has correct tyre size on it as far as im aware, as beaurepairs fitted them and went off the numbers printed on the inside of the door.

Whats involved with the one from jaycar?

Thanks for the help :)

could throw some numbers at this wee tool : http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,634.0.html

not sure a new set of tires is an option but yea Jaycar do an adjuster kit : http://www.jaycar.co.nz/productView.asp?ID=KC5435

User Spark38 here has done a few

BUT to get tickets for those speeds you/she/your mate, would have to be doing 125kph on speedo/118? ish etc (65kph to record 56kph)

is not uncommon to be doing 110kph on speedo and roll past a sign and will tell you your doing 100kph actual/gps, in fact thats OEM

Actually after re reading your post,( i had it that the car was going faster than the speedo)

Pretty much every car built has this error built in, manufacturers do it so that they have no come back about the speedo reading 100km/hr and i was doing 102km/hr and got pinged.

funny thing i found while playing around with my OBD11 reader is that the ecu sees the exact speed it is only the speedo itself that is out.

My new suggestion is drive to your speedo and u will not be caught speeding.

this

I stick to 110 and Pivot speed meter (reads from ECU) = 103 so I never even get pinged on "Holiday weekends" etc

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
