central locking and park light issue

Hey guys!

Have been having abit of a problem with my central locking on my gf8 wagon.

I bought the car and the central locking never worked from day one.

I removed the central locking control box under the dash on the passengers

side.it looked to be blow.so i replaced the unit with a 2nd hand one and still nothing.

I noticed when i installed the new control box the park lights dont seem to

want to turn off.even with the lights turned off and also the seprate park light switch is

turned off too..

The car used to have an alarm and by the looks of it theyv just cut wires and removed it

has anybody had the same issue before?

Nah iv turnd that on and off.the park lights just stay on.

I would start by tracing all of the wires that were used in the alarm install and removing them completly and rejoining any cut wires (ign cut, start cut,fuel cut) once this is done and IF the problem still exists then remove the control box again( well disconnect) and see if that solves it,

Wiring issues can be a pain in the arse, you may have to go back to stock and start form there
