Poor heater performance.

Howdy,

Sorry if this is miss-classified in the wrong thread.

Since getting my replacement long block in my heater performance has been sh!t3 for lack of a better word.

Where as on around 22-24c I used to get good heat coming out of it I now have to put it on 32c to get a fraction of the heat.

32c used to burn my face when it was on this hot.

What are peoples thoughts, likely to be thermostat or heater core ?

Could be an air bubble in the heater core?

does it make a gold fish bowl bubble kinda noise form the dash occasionally ?

It has very occasionally.

Sometimes when I start it I can hear the water moving through.

What\'s the best way to flush it ?

Find a radiator place with a vacuum bleeder, Best option to get rid of the bubbles, You can try parking it on a steep hill pointing up and run it up to temperature with cap off and top water up.
