99 Subaru B4 BE5 Headlight bulb type

Can anyone tell me what kind of headlight this is? As I am looking to replace it with a more brighter version. Apologies for the shit quality pics, had to use old iphone.

Good luck getting gruntier bulbs. I looked for some a year or so ago and couldnt find any.

HID dude. Will say D1R, D2R, D1S, D2S on it thats the style of bulb. Members on here had experience with chingalong bulbs. Can be had cheap though.

I got a couple of sets of 6000k bulbs off ebay(about $15 A PAIR), whiter than standard and been 6 months now and still working, i converted the car from standard to HID and is one of the best mods i have done so far, Just the manual swap, alloy lower arms, sti seats and bigger brakes to go.

Worth noting HID conversion is illegal. Not saying youll ever get nailed for it just be warned.

Not always illegal, I have a BH and fitted factory HID lights and wired in height adjuster, Made plug in loom adaptors to change from 3 pin to 4 pin adn just plugged it in.

Only illegal if you fit HID bulbs to lights not designed for the light output pattern.

As long as it\'s factory equipment there are no issues, i made inquiries with the LTSA before converting, They initially said it wasn\'t legal but when i told them i was using headlights from the same model that came factory equipped the agreed it would be legal as long as it had the entire system including the height adjustment system fitted.

Oh I have no issue with the logic of it but unfortunately I dont run the country. Its the equivalent of fitting an airbag steering wheel as another model had it or 4 pots etc. Theres grey areas but like I said you wont get picked up, well likely not if the install is done well.
