96 GT-B Legacy R180 Conversion

Hey Guys,

I bought a GT-B legacy about 10 months ago and have been doing a fair bit of work to it since then. I have a mate who has a V6 Sti RA coupe who put Brembos on it and sold his old brakes to me. I have the front ones on already but being a R160 rear end i cant bolt the rears on. So i have been slowly collecting parts. I had bought a 6speed conversion for it but blew up the V6 sti motor i also go out of the coupe (and put into the legacy) up going around Ruapuna so had to sell it. I kept the rear hubs but forgot to take the rear axles. I have brought a R180 diff with a suretrac in it so all that\'s left is the rear axles.

So the question is, i have the ability to buy the axles from the 6 speed conversion back off the guy as he wont use them, but are they actually going to be the right length? It was something i was never sure about and was going to wait and see when i bolted the 6 speed conversion in. I have tried searching but have found nothing about it. There are people making hybrid axles so they can keep the r160 hubs but i have the r180 hubs etc so why not use them.

Any help would be appreciated

Regards

Sam

crazy hell be selling something that has a high chance of being the first thing to break !

whats he asking? suppose you have tried to buy elsewhere .

my 6 speed conversion came out of a bg5 and went into my 1990 rs :D just like lego but you need those shafts for it to work.

yeah he said i could buy them back so i aren\'t arguing haha. I will one day put a 6 speed back in it but i need the funds atm as i also have a modified 4x4 that is in need of an engine rebuild after the first one done by a mate has only lasted a year before the compression is becoming slowly nonexistent. Was it worth the money?

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
