Rocker Cover Gaskets for V7 GGA Wagon

Howdy Guys

Its that time where i have to change both rocker cover gaskets in my 02 WRX Wagon. Only thing is i have no idea which gasket to use. I went on the ACL website and they have various ones listed and i narrowed it down to two of them but have no idea which one is the correct one. Some people have said its better to go genuine for thickness etc.

Was going to order them from work but thought i should be 100% sure first.

i have just rebuilt my engine and had the same predicament you are having. I ended up using all genuine seals and gaskets, i figured if they can last 180kms and still not leak then thats good enough for me! I have heard STA performance are well known for their head gaskets as being quite good - I\'m sure someone will chime in to confirm or deny this soon enough =).

Use genuine Subaru gaskets - the thickness of the aftermarket ones can cause leaks

its not just the gaskets, you must replace all the rubber washes aswell, the cost of the gaskets, spark plug gaskets and rubber washers for a v7 will set you back around $250. then don\'t forget to get some 3 bond 1215 aswell as brake clean(adds another $50)

Owch. Little more than i expected seeing as from work i can get them cheaper but obviously being genuine i will have to fork out a bit of cash

Im lucky i can get some gasket sealant and brakleen cheap from work so it guess i would save money there

Recently ordered and purchased a turbo gasket for my down pipe(suspected leak) cost me 20 bucks so im happy with that.

She is a farily bigish leak so i guess i should get to it ASAP but ofcourse being a student is a tad difficult.

Anyone know what i tell the dealer? just chassis # and engine #?
