Brake lights not working

So I was driving home the other night and I noticed that my brake lights weren\'t lighting up the car behind me.

I checked all fuses and they seem to be fine.

although the cabin fuse box didn\'t have a cover so I didn\'t know what fuse was which. They all seemed fine though engine and cabin.

Anybody know what the problem may be? Or if there\'s anything I should specifically check?

Fault finding 101 - put a brick on the brake pedal and double check they dont work. Could be your brake pedal switch easy to check with a multimeter just a mish getting your head down in there.

so i unplugged my hatch door central locking plug

which solved the problem of the brake light

but now the door only unlocks and locks with the key lol

and doesnt trigger the alarm when its open

any ideas lol

You must have a short somewhere? Maybe a break in the flexi loom between the hatch and body (door hinge loom)? There should be an earth bolted/screwed inside the hatch that might have come off?
