Chassis Straightening: advice and input?

Some of you will remember that incident I had last season at MereMere... well that caused a little bit of distortion to the unibody,

including some split seams, which i'm getting ready to stich weld back together, along with every other seam I can get access to.

however, theres no point welding a bent car, and theres no doubt that the shell will have a slight twist to it. so chassis straightening is the logical choice.

I'm swinging by a local panel beater today to talk over it, but when I told Dad about my plan, he said to measure it and hit it straight myself! (he spent 20 years as an NZ Army Panel Beater..)

so, any input is welcome from either sides of the coin here.

those 426,000km's though.. would be nice to have a parts car but I think it'll probably have worse condition parts than mine (170,000km)

I had a crashed car repair a few years back. It had taken a major frontal impact and bent both rails. I had them straightened professionally on a machine and they put the exterior back together don't think it was worth it in the end but the straightening cost under $1000
