vf13/14 combo replacing with vf18/19

so i have a friend wanting to change his blown vf13/14 for the vf18/19 combo from a gtb into a gt afaik the vf19 replaces the vf14 directly but the vf 18 and 13 and slightly differnt can anyone explain what needs change to make this work?

you need to change both turbos;)

LmAo yea bro figured that much haha something to do with the wastegate actuators needing changed in the vf 18?

Vf18s don't have a wastegate, afaik you can just plug the vacuum hose, and algud

at a stretch I'd be going to B4 turbo's but something about inlet pipe size differences escapes my mind, making the job not much more difficult

not a heck of an upgrade but just newer turbo's

Vf31/32 combo, the vf31 inlet is bigger than the 19/14

Afaik the vf 26 is the same inlet diameter as 13/18 and has no wastegate aswell

mates turbos vf13/14 are both blown and i gave him my vf18/19 to fit it on

so trying to find a way around getting the vf18 on

Just stick it on, they'll all bolt up to the up & downpipes the same

Pretty sure that the wastegate on the secondary isn't used anyway so just block the hose that goes from the BBoD. Everything else should just bolt straight in.

All primarys have internal acutators

The vf14 sencondary has actuator but the others dont. You can bolt any combo on there(they all fit the bg intake i've had them all) just as les666 says.
