ECU Help!

We've just had the ECU die in a 1998 V4 GC8 STI. Is there anyone out there got one to sell? We're in Tauranga and keen to get this thing running again. If you know the best place to get one (close to home) any advice would be welcome. Cheers.

Is that a 75 ECU? Hijacka is wrecking his old V4 STI, might still have the original ECU lying around:

I spoke to a Suby fanatic mechanic - he reckons as long as it runs the yellow injectors and the orange AFM it'll work just fine, so I'm keen! Colin.

What a good bugger! I went to see Johno today to collect that ECU - and he even gave me a couple of interior parts for my boy's V4 STI as well!

Well, if he ever needs a favour, he knows where to come. It's so nice to deal with someone that's just genuinely friendly and helpful!

The only unfortunate thing is that the car still won't start on either ECU so not at all sure what the issue is now? Oh well, time will tell.

See my 'from the beginning' thread. Mystery solved by a mechanic waaaay more knowledgeable than me! He tracked down a dodgy bit of wiring under the dash that just suddenly decided to cause problems.
