Sti gauge swap. ABS / brake light issue.

IV swapped over my stock wrx gauge to an STI gauge. I followed this guide - http://www.sentinelit.com.au/misc/2005to2007_WRX_STi_cluster_swap.pdf

Every thing is working fine except

The e-brake light is always on even when the e-brake if down ( disengaged ) - looks like this in the left side abve the temp gauge ( (!) )

Also the abs light is always on.

Any solutions ?

that a v8 or v9 sti cluster? and you have grounded the wires properly?

not sure what version, this is what the seller in japen told me. " This is from Subaru Impreza WRX STI GH-GDB EJ207DW7CR 07/2004"

What grounding needs to be done ?

mine is a version 8 ( blobeye ) rego says 2002

Reading the options in the link you posted, you might need a relay to flip the polarity of the abs light. Then ground pin B4 on the centre plug to get rid of the rear diff temp light. Then swap pins B28 and B16 on the centre plug for the cruise light to work properly.

What wiring modifications have you made?

Alright, all iv done is cut the c9 wire that was responsible for the buzzing.The rear diff light and cruise light i should be able to do, i understand those steps.

Any idea on how i would go about the relay flip ?

i think i may have had a bit of a break though..... do i need to put on of these guys on the wire that controls the abs light ?

Looks like you will also need to set up a dimmer circuit, or the cluster will be super bright at night.

No mention of the e-brake light though, could just find the pin and earth it like the r-diff light?

So i need one of these right ?

A four pin one of them. Will end up wired something like this:

85 to power feed from ABS unit

86 to earth/chassis

30 to speedo cluster pin B3/centre plug

87 to earth/chassis

No, looks like you need a "Normally Closed" 4 pin relay, so that the relay switches open with power and is closed when resting:

Nope, that's "Normally Open". You need one that's "Normally Closed".

This relay is a 5 pin N/O N/C, so has both a 'normally open' and a 'normally closed' circuit built in. Just depends which contacts are used.
