BH Single Tirbo big end failure what do?

My single turbo GTB has just done another big end.

It hurts, so Im weighing up netween a rebuild, a new longblock or a complete motor from japan..

It needs to retain a v5/6 manifold pattern, as thats what my links all wired to and same sensors as what I have on my gtb longblock.

Any suggestions on best route/recommendations

damn badluck on the BEB or is it?, out of curiosity would continual beb failure be only due to failing spark, fuel, air mixture etc, pretty much anything that causes the engine to fight its self and bring hard pressure down on the crank. If that's true then if you have good ignition and good tune(etunes are notorious for det) and good oil feed u should never run bebs. Gota be a reason you keep running bebs. If your heads are still all goods http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/subaru/engines/auction-787716702.htm

or this: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/subaru/engines/auction-787458878.htm Im pretty sure this wont be inline bolt pattern but ask him to be safe.

Assuming you are in chch?

I hope someone more enlightened than me posts for you cuz im really curious about why everyone keeps running bebs in there ej's

also evowrx was selling an engine on behalf of someone, don't know what year it was though.

Engine ive got in fs was v3/4 so no good. That foz engines not 98-00 like the auction says either its the v5/6 ej205 engine in the phase 2 foz. I would strip the old one and try and figure out what the bearings tell you and get car checked on the dyno after new engine goes in at minimum.

It started misfiring then, a couple days later just failed started it and it knocked, thought it might be piston slap so warmed it up and it went away but when you rev the motor it still knocks. Yeah The cars parked up at the moment just waiting for some space in my mates garage then we going to pull the motor out and strip it down.

Oh yeah Im in Hamilton btw, but shipping is cool haha

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
