The sensor beside the IACV is the version 7 MAP sensor. Which ECU are you running?

Using this JDM version 7 STI ECU pinout/wiring diagrams:

http://www.romraider.com/forum/download/file.php?id=18932&sid=f83e35996ade7a43fd66a0f0624a6c84

The version 7 TPS and IACV wiring is:

TPS:

Signal - yellow/green

power - red

ground - black/green

IACV

Signal - white

power - red

Ground - black/white

Sweet, hope it helps. Looks like the 3 wires going to the V3/4 IACV are a different setup to the V7. The V3/4 IACV has:

IACV open end - signal

IACV closed end -signal

12v power - 12v power

http://www.linkecu.com/support/documentation/technical-drawings/A01

So you'll need to splice one V3/4 IACV wire into an earth, or swap pins at the ECU depending on which ECU your using.

IACV open end - signal

IACV closed end - ground

12v power - 12v power

These BC5/BG5A ECU pinouts also show the same 3 wires for the IACV.

http://reuben.xpjets.com/random/ECU_Pinouts_BC5-BG5a-WRX_4plug.pdf

IACV - open

IACV - closed

12v - power

So a BC5/V3/V4 ECU can't run a Version 7 IACV.

You would have to remote mount the earlier IACV somewhere with hoses tapped in.

Edit: The V7 TPS will wire in ok. But might give slightly different signals to the ECU, mainly at idle/closed throttle.

Version 7 TPS signal voltage to ECU:

Fully closed - 0.2v-0.1v

Fully open -4.2v-4.7v

BC5/V3/V4 TPS signal voltage to ECU:

Fully closed - 0.5v

Fully open - 4.2v

But you could probably adjust the version 7 TPS, so that it's giving 0.5v at idle.

yep running g4
Aww, sweet. :)

This link pic shows which wire is which on the older IACV plug:

http://www.linkecu.com/support/documentation/technical-drawings/A01

Make the BC5 IACV open signal wire the new G4 signal wire.

Cut the BC5 IACV closed signal wire and splice it into a sensor ground.

BC5 IACV--------Version 7 IACV

IACV open - IACV signal

IACV closed - IACV ground

IACV 12v - IACV 12v

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
