To be honest, half the problem would be keeping the car running for 17 days! And affording the fuel/tyre/brake pad bill.

But the cost of gas would be a hell of alot

yeah man. my uncle is doing it in his 05 ford gt racecar.. they got him a temporary rego and everything.. aparently its set up really well and they have security every night to watch your cars

From what I have heard its run by at least some of the people who organise Targa, just under a seperate event prior to Targa. There is very little info on the site about what they would allow to enter. So I think they would probably have discretionary rights over entrant vehicle types.

Somehow I dont think they would want my 20 year old RS Legacy rally car getting in the way of the "fast" exotic cars

reliant scimitar's are definately ugly, but they are also very uncommon here.

I knew some one that had a Jensen Interceptor. It sucked the gas. Made a WRX STI look fuel efficient.

He ran out of gas outside the old railway station. He had a 1 gallon spare gallon fuel can. He just got to the servo out of gas again. only about 2 miles away lol :

But couldnt justify spending more than my rollcage, paint, seats, harnesses, and fuel line mods for the entry fee alone.

I think its one of those things that comes under the category of one in a lifetime experience. Something you do when you dont have a mortgage to pay for, kids to bring up etc. Ie once you get a bit older and have too much money

I would still love to do it though! I wonder how I could pursuade them to let me be the 0 car...?

Um, no Capri motor in those...just 7.2 litre's of Mopar goodness.

I'm not suprised he ran outa fuel, big blocks are known to be a bit on the thirsty side.
