Whats wrong with my DCCD?

Today I went to start to my car and as musual the DCCD light was on full lock when the reds were on. When I started the engine it went to the bottom green as usual but then it started flashing and couldnt be wound forward. I was not the last person to drive the car and I dont know what has been done to it. Does anyone have any clue what this could be? The car is driving as usual and doesnt appear to have any advers effect other than being stuck on the bottom green light of DCCD which I use anyway just a pain in the arse is all. So yeah people anyone have any clue as to what this might be?

If it is flashing something is wrong/broken. Take it to your local subaru mechanic.

I took it to a mechanic down the road who is abit of a subaru nut and he told me it was probably something electrical as there seems to be absolutely nothing wrong with the car. It drives fine forwards, backwards, left and right. He thinks theres a fault code that needs wiping so the car is in with aut electricians on tuesday. Fingers crossed cause a new DCCD unit will be shitloads!!

if it's just constantly flashing then check the plug going into the thumbwheel in the centre console. Most common thing is that plug is connected for some reason and causes the light to flash.

If you have the gearbox plug unplugged it sits on the unlock light.
