Wheel and Tyre combo for track

Im currently running 17x7 Work Emotions with 215/45/17 R888s (which are average...) Planning to switch to Hankook semi slicks but wondering if I should also go to some wider rims while Im at it. What rim/tyres do you use on the track?

17x7.5" Revolution wheels. Not light, but strong, which is more important to me. I also run a 215, but with Nitto NT01s instead.

Work Emotions are freaking heavy afaik if they are the cast ones. the forged ones are alright.

To be honest I'm using V7 STi Wheels though with R888's, as they're really not bad at all on weight for factory items.

I'd go to a 7.5" or 8" wheel with 235/40(or 45)/17, that'll be my next point.

Im considering bolt on flares to enable me to go much wider. Anyone know where to get a set for a gc8 sedan?

Are going to sell your works? I have gramlights foundary 17x8.5 which i may consider swapping for your works. Has eagle f1 on front and toyo on back. 215/45/17.
